More than ten gift agreements were signed. Overall, the company provides more than CZK 1 m to municipalities
Litvínov, 14 th October 2010 – As part of its continued efforts to provide municipalities of the Ústi region with resources for community development, Unipetrol RPA signed twelve gift agreements for social, educational and ecological projects. Thanks to the improvement in the economic environment Unipetrol RPA was able to extend cooperation with twelve municipalities, which are in the vicinity of its Záluží plant. The total amount of funds provided exceeds CZK 1 m.
The money contributed by the company will be used among other things for the restoration of municipal fire reservoir in Český Jiřetín and new furniture for the local Children Diagnostic Institute and Pedagogical Centre in the city of Most. Furthermore, the support will also go to reconstruction of Lom’s historical sights - church and memorials as well as restoration of sport ground in Želenice.
„I am glad that the gift agreements have been signed. Unipetrol wants to play an active role in the improvement of the environment in the Ústí region. The cooperation will enable the towns to realize many projects which will have positive effects on daily life of local people. Consequently, the region will become a better place to live,“ said the Chief Executive of Unipetrol RPA Artur Paździor after the signing ceremony.
The beneficiaries include the following towns and villages: Most, Meziboří, Lom, Hora Svaté Kateřiny, Horní Jiřetín, Louka u Litvínova, Nová Ves v Horách, Klíny, Český Jiřetín, Mariánské Radčice, Brandov and Želenice.
