ORLEN Unipetrol RPA is a leading Czech producer in the field of refinery, petrochemical and agrochemical raw materials, which is also reflected in the initial abbreviation "RPA": refinery, petrochemistry, agrochemistry. The company supplies the market primarily with motor fuels, fuel oils, asphalts, liquefied petroleum products, oil hydrogenates, other refinery products, olefins and aromates, agrochemicals, carbon black and sorbents, polyolefins (high-density polyethylene, polypropylene).
ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. came into existence on 1 January 2007 as a result of merger of UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o., CHEMOPETROL, a.s. and UNIPETROL RAFINÉRIE a.s. ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, a limited liability company, became the legal successor, its sole member being ORLEN Unipetrol, a.s. The other two companies were dissolved without liquidation, as it was recorded in the Commercial Register on 1 August 2007.
The merger of the companies is a logical continuation of the implementation of a new management model, which the ORLEN Unipetrol Group gradually adopts. Its main objectives are to simplify the flows of intermediate products and to better exploit the existing synergies. Another positive aspect is a greater efficiency of the internal purchase and sale of the company's own products within the Group. Last but not least, this change enabled a better control over the entire production and trade chain, from the purchase of petroleum to customer care. The merger created a single compact whole, inside which the structure of organizational, personnel, administrative and logistic activities was simplified.
